About
Hello, I am Lizzy, welcome to my counselling page. Here you can find out about me and the way I practice, as well as my qualifications and experience.
I practice Person Centred Counselling. This is a type of talking therapy that places you, the client, at the heart of the counselling process. I work hard to create a safe, non-judgemental and empathetic environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. I hope to provide a space where you feel heard and held in the counselling process. I work with adults and young people from secondary age, and have extensive experience working with mental health.
No matter whether you are facing specific challenges or seeking general support, I would love to hear from you and see how I could provide a space to explore this.

My Qualifications and Experience
I qualified as a counsellor in 2019, with a Masters in Clinical Counselling from the University of Chester. I am a registered member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I also hold a Level 2 diploma in Counselling Skills and Concepts and a Level 2 diploma in Mental Health Awareness. I have had extensive safeguarding training and hold an enhanced DBS.
I regularly undertake CPD to further expand my knowledge and expertise.
Prior to my counselling training I worked pastorally in schools supporting students who wanted support with their mental health or neurodiversity.
